You can join the Scheme any time before your 75th birthday. It doesn’t matter whether you are full time or part time, permanent or temporary you can join, no matter how long your contract is for.
If you work for one of our larger employers like a local authority, they will bring you in automatically in most cases, unless your contract is for less than 3 months, in which case you will have to ask.
If you work for an employer where membership isn’t automatic, they will still give you the option to join in many cases.
