To cancel you should contact your employer’s pensions officer in writing making sure you include your National Insurance number or payroll number.
They will normally cancel your membership from the start of the next pay period, unless you ask for it to be cancelled from some later date.
Remember
Apart from the main retirement benefits, you will lose out on extras, such as ill health cover and you will normally have to pay into some other form of pension anyway.
