Why don’t you give advice?
Firstly, we are not licensed to give advice, and second, it is actually very difficult to do so. Comparing similar pensions schemes is fairly straightforward but you still have to be aware of the differences in scheme rules such as retirement ages or dependants’ benefits. Comparing schemes like ours and a personal pension scheme is hard because they are so different. Some people would look for the flexibility in personal pensions, others would want the certainty of the LGPS.
