The Pension Service - The Government department that deals with pensioners - launched a new scheme called Pension Credit in October 2003. It replaces the Minimum Income Guarantee, which you may have heard of, and is designed to offer a guaranteed minimum income for people aged 60 and over.
And if you are 65 or over, it could also provide a reward if you have modest savings
The Pension Service is the department behind Pension Credit, and they can tell you far more about it than we can. Here are their details:
Pension Credit helpline: 0800 99 1234. Or call in at your local Pension Service office.
