As you will see, we have not included your state pension forecast in this year’s statement.
Early in 2011, the government published a Pensions Bill which, amongst other things, increases the State Pension age for women between 2016 and 2018 and then increases the State Pension age for men and women from 65 to 66 between 2018 and 2020. This is expected to get Royal Assent in September 2011. |

These proposals will affect you if you are one of the following:
- a woman born on or between 6 April 1953 and 5 April 1960
- a man born on or between 6 December 1953 and 5 April 1960
The information that is provided by the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) would include State Pension ages before these changes were made, so would be out of date as soon as we posted them to members. Rather than giving members incorrect information, we decided not to include details of the state pension for this year. If the DWP can update their records in time then we hope to reinstate this service next year.
Including information about your State Pension in your forecast gives you a better picture of the income you could receive in retirement and helps you to decide whether you need to save for more.
If you have chosen to opt-out of receiving this information then we will not include it in future statements. If you change your mind and wish to start receiving this information at a later date you must write in to let us know:-
