GMPF consults all sections of its membership. The Strategy is a continuous rolling programme with a 3 year cycle. The objective being to understand members' opinions of the service, areas of improvement and to identify access issues.

The Core Belief Statement sets out the Fund’s key investment beliefs. These beliefs will form the foundation of discussions, and assist decisions, regarding the structure of the Fund, strategic asset allocation and the selection of investment managers.

Expenditure of £500+

As part of his Local Transparency Initiative, the Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government has written to all Councils to call on them to publish details of items of expenditure of £500 and above.  Monthly listings for GMPF commence with purchases made during December 2010.  Equivalent listings for the Administering Authority’s expenditure (which is not related to GMPF), together with other Transparency Initiative related information, may be found by clicking the link below.

Governance Policy Statement & Governance Compliance Statement (228 KB)

GMPF publish their Governance Policy and Governance Compliance Statement in accordance with LGPS regulations.

Holdings

It is the Fund's policy to routinely publish full listings of its Holdings (excluding direct property) once per annum, as at the end of the accounting year, in conjunction with the final audit sign off of the Fund's Annual Report and Accounts.

Ill Health Guidance Manual (131 KB)

This manual aims to help all those with a specific role in relation to the LGPS rules on ill-health retirement, to understand those rules and their role properly. It will also interest Scheme members, employee representatives and others wishing to find a clear, concise explanation of how the LGPS deals with ill-health issues.

Pension Administration Strategy (829 KB)

This strategy recognises that for administration costs to be minimised, and the mutual service to the member to be maximised, employers and the administering authority must cooperate closely.
