Here are the ages you can retire at your own choice:
From 60: this is your right, and you don’t need your employer’s permission
Before 60: this is only possible if you have your employer’s permission. Minimum age restrictions apply.

And by drawing your benefits before age 65, you may well find they are reduced to take account of the fact you are drawing them early. Whether reductions apply depend on when you joined the Scheme, how much membership you have, and how old you are.
If you joined on or after 1 October 2006 your benefits will be reduced if you choose to draw them before 65. The reductions depend on how long it is until you will reach 65 - the younger you retire, the bigger the reduction.
