Technical consultation response: LGPS Amendment Regulations 2015
In December last year, the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) issued a consultation seeking views on the draft Local Government Pension Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2015, which amend the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 2013 and the Local Government Pension Scheme (Transitional Provisions, Savings and Amendment) Regulations 2014. The proposed changes will not affect the operation of the Scheme or the benefits, but are designed to ease administration and therefore improve efficiency. DCLG have also taken the opportunity as part of the consultation to seek views on a number of wider issues affecting the Scheme. The consultation closed on 30 January 2015.
