Guardsman Tony Downes House is in the centre of Droylsden on Manchester Road (A662). If you are using a sat nav, please use the postcode M43 7UH.
The two nearest mainline stations are Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria. A taxi from either of these to our offices will take around 15 minutes. Using the tram will take around 25 minutes.
The tram network includes a stop at Droylsden, which is a short walk away.
There are bus stops nearby with several services running through Droylsden town centre. This includes the 216, which runs between Manchester and Ashton-under-Lyne.
From the M60
Take Junction 23. After leaving the motorway, take the A635 towards Manchester, passing B&Q on the left. At the one way system, bear right and then left following signs for Droylsden A662. The centre of Droylsden is about three quarters of a mile further on.
From Manchester city centre
Take the A662, Ashton New Rd, past the Etihad football stadium. Continue straight on. The centre of Droylsden is about two miles on from the stadium.
We have six car parking spaces for visitors located at the back of the building. You can find them by driving through the black gates found on Craven Street. To get there, turn onto Canal Street from Market Street and then turn right onto Craven Street (enter M43 7UH if you are using a sat nav).
The parking on Craven Street is limited. You can park outside the post office for a limited time and there is a disabled parking bay close to our reception.
When you leave the visitor car park, you can turn left or right onto Craven Street. If you turn left, then you must turn left again onto Manchester Road.
Droylsden’s main car park is a pay and display car park found off Greenside Lane (enter M43 6SF if you are using a sat nav)
